Christine is a firm believer in the benefits to business from developing a strategy through a lens of longer term environmental impact and opportunity. As the Chief Executive Officer of Business Environment Council (BEC), Christine has the duty to assist the Board of Directors in setting and implementing organization strategies. She runs daily operations, drives healthy financial performance and leads BEC’s policy contribution. Leading BEC in environmental advocacy, Christine strives to raise awareness and actions amongst business community for better environmental performance.

Christine brings over 20 years of professional experience from private sector. Before joining BEC, Christine spent 13 years with AECOM, a global engineering design and consulting company, leading transformation initiatives. She has diverse strategic and operational experience in the areas of finance, human resources, technology, marketing, corporate communications as well as general administrations across Asia Pacific and The Americas.

Christine holds a Master of Business Administration from a joint program of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Business School and Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, USA and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration – Finance from San Diego State University, USA. She is the Vice-Chair of BEC’s Advisory Groups, a member of HKGCC’s Environment & Sustainability Committee, a member of HKSAR Government’s AQOs Review Working Group and a Director of Hong Kong Green Building Council.

As a former HR strategist and a practitioner, Christine brings not only a business perspective on sustainability but also insights on how HR leaders could do to steer their company in contributing to a better environment through PEOPLE which is so vital for business success.
